And yet they still look a lot better than you do Woof. Funny how that works.

 i your wii eyes maybe.

That's right Blue3, give lip to the mods, that's worked out great for you in the past, lol. It also kind of defeat the purpose of calling Wii-bias on the comments in this thread when the only person claiming Wii bias is you, one of better recognized Sony fanboys on the forum well known for their own unapologetic fanboyism. I also like how you essentially say that the ability to acknowledge reality and recognize the obvious is something obviously akin to Wii fans.

On topic, perhaps game can only be done on PS3, but if that the case it was because game was made specifically for the PS3, big surprise there. These comments seems to be the great boast of faith that Sony give any of their exclusives usually in order to dismiss any hope that it will go cross platforms. Ah, but of course, taking a step back and looking at situation objectively only illustrate how much Wii fanboy I am. Guess it a no win for doomed fools like myself and my doomed console. ;p

Lol, Blue3 dodging a ban? Oh well, ioi's got to keep the Sony gamers here somehow, even if it means turning a blind eye, but then again who am I to complain with my ban cut short anyway. Ah its good to be back.

On topic, sort of, who makes Socom?

I really don't think so...

If a developer REALLY  wanted to use the harddrive, they would.  They would just put a "Requires Xbox 360 harddrive" sticker on the box.  Majoras mask required an expansion pack, as did Donkey kong 64.  Donkey Kong 64 packed it in with the game.  They could sell a version with the harddrive packed in for a slight discount ($120-$130). Or just sell it alone, as Majoras Mask was, and require the consumer to go out and buy the harddrive themselves if they indeed didn't have one.  This is the exact same thing to me.  I really don't see the difference.

 I was wondering about that actually. Does Microsoft allow third parties to make games that require the harddrive? And if so, would a third party want to sales wise? What's the % of 360 users that don't have the harddrive in it?

I don't think so, this was an issue with GTAIV. In order to develop a game for the 360, it MUST be playable on any 360(that works at least. snap) But, yeah, I think a dev should be able to introduce "minimum hardware requirements" just like for PCs.

EDIT: @Legend11

Well they already sold at least one harddrive required game at retail, Football Manager 2006, so it's not like it would be impossible to release another.

I didn't realize this, I retract then.... Why can't they do this with GTAIV? Who gives a sh!t about Fotball Manager. They could make it superbig, put it on 2 DVD9's and one BD, install disk 1 on the 360 and play from disk 2??? oh well, it'll still be cool.

I never realize how optional harddrive can affect 360 ability to compete with PS3. Interesting.

End of 2007 Predictions:

Wii =18m

360=14m

PS3=7m

DS=64m

PSP=30m

Socom Confrontation is being developed by Slant Six, who have made the PSP versions of the socom series.  Zipper Interactive is the main developer and is in process of creating Socom 4 which is expect to be out in late 2008.    The lead for Zipper though is overseeing the development by Slant Six for Confrontation to make sure that it follows the series nicely.  Also, Confrontation is online multiplayer only and will come with 5 maps packed in, including the very popular "Crossroads" map from Socom 2.   Socom 4 will be a full version game that will have a offline mode as well and they haven't released many details as of yet for that version since it's more then a year down the pipeline.

Now you really remind me of Blue3.  Even if you're not him, the fact that your posting habits are similar should indicate a severe problem.

If the devs are talking about the hard drive, I'm glad to know that developers are actually using one of the PS3's key advantages.

I read somewhere on the forum that someone claimed that Blue3 was allegedly Huss before that so if there is any truth to that I guess it would make sense he'd try to get a new account again to dodge a ban. Not that I was here for Huss, so its not like I would know. Oh well, Woof's not been that big an issue outside of this thread, if he gets really bad I'm sure he'll just get banned (again?).

Woof and Blue3 have very similarities like both having pictures of cars based on GT and being sony fanboys. Anyways Graphically its possible on 360 but its on possible on PS3 because of the hard drive.

Making one scentence posts, being overly abbrassive towards others, getting into arguments with mods, etc. Oh well, I should really stop beating the issue, it's not helping the thread.

Gosh, you guys are so childish it's hilarious. XD
