Forums - Nintendo - Dead Rising Chop Til You Drop in game video

the mall looks empty, i hope this is some old footage that just got released

Capcom needs to polish this game up. The sound effects are from RE4, it's pretty funny. Still, I think Capcom will pull through. I'll buy it.

Sorry for the caps:

WHERE IN THE HELL ARE THE ZOMBIES

Oh my god. There were no Zombies on screen.

There were like ten on screen.

And every texture was muddy, and low-res. And the Monsters had circle shadows.

I've seen a lot of curiosity online about how well Capcom will be able to replicate the feel of Dead Rising on Wii, with particular interest revolving around how many zombies the developers will be able to fit onscreen simultaneously. And while we won't know for sure until the developers finish the game and the engine's properly optimized, I spotted roughly 10 zombies onscreen at once during my hands-on time -- and Capcom representatives say the developers aim to have around 100 simultaneous shamblers upon release.------Matt Leone (1up.com).

The game is not optimized and is still a work in progress. Lets wait for the final build.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

Capcom not understandin the TEV very well at all Strikes again. If they were to bother they can cheap out on some more polys, up the texture effects to make the game look better. Then increase the zombie and number of objects count.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

They had better fix this. They made RE4 look better than this on the PS2. As it is, it's like San Andreas with more colors.

And Capcom does understand the TEV. They showed them off with RE4 on the Gamecube, so they should know how to use them.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

im so happy how they used the RE4:wii engine for this,i cant wiat to get the game, and i dont care if the graphics dont match RE4's this game will be awesome

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

Looks like a hacked up version of RE4, with a new set of missions...

Probably "no thanks" at this stage. Will depend on the price.

This really looks awful. As somebody who loves Dead Rising, if this is what I was shown in previews before Dead Rising came out, I never would have bought it. There's a lack of zombies, bad collision detection, poor animations, the zombies barely move at all now (probably to make up for the new aiming or something) and it just looks awkward overall.

I realize this is easy money for Capcom but how about a little hard work money too and get Dead Rising 2 done. You got at least an easy 1.5 mill in sales for a new Dead Rising, I hope this (so far) lackluster port isn't getting in the way of it.
