Sega putting real looking characters in their fantasy games again... didn't they learn with Sonic?

I predict a love affair in the works...great Sega great.

Also it doesn't look improved (Except for the cutscene looking stuff), it's just in smaller pics so it looks better :P

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Actually ckmlb, the first NiGHTS had real looking characters in it. They were even playable. So in this case to take them out would actually be the Sonic team like thing to do.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

stof is correct, I believe the first NiGHTs have your main character infused with NiGHTs and can change between human and the jester (NiGHTs) in the game... I think...

I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.

Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)

Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

1 word: RTFA

I've often wondered what developers of games like NiGHTS and No More Heroes are feeling these days.

I'd assume that when they started development of these games, they hoped for the best for the Wii, but assumed, for the most part, that their games were a niche on a smaller platform.

Now, it's clear that they are the forerunning titles on the biggest platform of the generation. It's... gotta be a mindtrip to have that flip on you as you develop. Instead of making quirky, fun titles, they're instead charged with getting the profits the PS3 titles should have gotten for their respective companies, if the PS3 had done better.

Honestly, NiGHTS is probably the most important game for Sega in the next 18 months. I doubt they knew that was going to be true going in.

I have had the same thoughts.  I'm curious as to what's running through their heads right now, or even how much has changed on the development.  Did they throw in a whole lot more money for it suddenly (possibly explaining the very improved graphics)?

I'm pretty sure NiGHTS started after the Wii craze started...certainly not before they knew it'd still be sold out today...but they had an idea I'm sure.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Never played the original never heard of the game before NiGHTS2 was announced. What I heard it was a great game so I think it is a must we get this game in the VC before the release of NiGHTS2.

@Bodhesatva: NiGHTS looks to me that it was made for the same audience that likes mariogames. So the choice for the game on the Wii was very logic only Sega never saw the Wiistorm comming just like most other japanese developers.  For Suda it's the other way around they saw the big potential of the wii and just took a risk and i think ig the game is any good they even will have a millioen selling game. And I don't think they where expecting that when they where starting development.
