Forums - Microsoft - Infinite Undiscover DISCUSSION.

As we all know, many are pumped for this very soon to be released JRPG from Square-Enix and Microsoft. I myself have expressed interest in this game.

Please discuss the goods and bads in this game, the gameplay elements, the leveling system, magic system, etc... There is much that myself and many others would like to know about the game. If possible give opinions on characters, storyline (without spoilers please) and the like.

The more we know the more excited we can all get.

Please keep this clean and fun.

Edit - Good start... I spelled the name wrong........... "Infinite Undiscovery"

Lol this is what i was gonna do, but you posted it b4 me. I'll post what i have though:

Deep in a forest, in one of the Order's prisons, a young boy named Capell was being held captive. His captors called him the "Liberator," though he had no clue as to what they meant. On the third day of his imprisonment, he was rescued by a spirited young woman named Aya. She was a member of a small band of brave warriors who had gathered under the banner of Sigmund the Liberator to free the world from the iron grip of the Order. Upon meeting Sigmund, he was surprised to find a man who shared his very face and appearance. This meeting would change Capell's life forever and shake the foundation of the world itself.

General Features

-Discovery & Impact: The actions you choose to take upon new discoveries will have a real-time impact on the world

-Situational Battles: Players will be confronted with a variety of dramatic situational battles such as executing a daring escape while a gigantic ogre follows in hot pursuit, or waging battle amidst towering tidal waves. The dynamic environments change and respond in real time, creating an entirely new experience never before seen in the genre

-A Seamless World and Real-time Action: Combat, exploration, and other actions all take place within the same environment, seamlessly shifting between each game facet. Battles are carried out in real-time, bringing the vibrant fighting sequences of the STAR OCEAN series out of the traditional battle screen into a beautiful and lush environment

-Connect Ability System: 17 characters join the hero, Capell, with unique Connect Ability actions that allow the player to tap into their abilities and take direct control

This game releases September 1st in the US, Sept. 11 in japan, and Setpember in Europe.

I like the look of the game. The framerate is a bit off though, but it may be fixed up before its released. Combat looks nicely Star Ocean/ Kingdom Hearts esqe.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Nope, don't know anything about this ''Infinite Undiscover'' game... But Infinite Undiscovery looks amazing! The framerate is a bit bad at some point and the voice acting annoying, but in my opinion, it reminds me of the old PSX/first-era PS2 RPGs that I really loved.

Also, it looks like it's going to be an Action RPG, so that's a plus in my book!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

The story looks really good
Gameplay looks really good.
There are framerate issues but they seem to be quite tolerable

"-Discovery & Impact: The actions you choose to take upon new discoveries will have a real-time impact on the world"

Does anybody know what sort of effects you're supposed to have on the world?

And shouldn't that be "undiscoveries"?

Are there playable characters other then Capell? I know there will be 17 main support characters in all, but don't know about playable ones.

@above: I'm gonna guess that certain actions you have in the game will effect how the game continues. I can't see it having as much impact as, say Fable, but it would be kinda cool anyway.

Read my edit. I realized right after posting that the title was wrong, hopefully a mod can fix it.

It is "Undiscovery" not "Undiscover" or "Undiscoveries". :)

I love the fact that the fighting style is similar to that of Star Ocean, I played Star Ocean 2 and absolutely loved it, as well as Star Ocean 3 as I am sure the combat in this game will not disappoint.

Exactly why IU's battle system looks very fun

It appears this is just a straight levelling game, with no added complexities such as the ring system from LO, or SG from FF X, which I am fine with, as there was far too much micromanagement in LO.

Does the magic go from a menu screen in this one like in SO 3?

I think you're supposed to control Capell only, but he can use other characters' abilities (due to his not having a "glyph").
