Forums - General - Which of the following books should I read?

For the summer reading project I have to read two books ( two because i'm in honors English)

For the normal list it's between "The Sea of Trolls" By Nancy Farmer, and "Al Capone Does My Shirts" By Gennifer Choldenko. ( I chose this two because I started reading both of them and never finished neither).

Heres the Honors list:

"Farewell to Manzanar" By Houston

"A Gathering Of Old Men" By Gaines

"Cuba 15" By Osa

"Children Of The River" By Crew

"Lupita Manana" By Beatty

"Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" By Taylor

That's all of them, can you guys recommend a good one? I'm Going to the Eight Grade btw.

I have not heard of any of them. :o

I know of two books that I really enjoyed in my senior year of high school. Where the Heart Is and Tuesday's with Morrie, but, they aren't on the list. :-/

Don't know those, but I have always loved "Where the Red Fern Grows". or "The Da Vinci Code" was good too.

Im going to 8th grade too and chose to go to GT ELA so I have to read War of the Worlds and Eyes of the Emperor.

get a summary of the book of around 20 pages, learn that damn thing like you never learned before, and there you go, an A.
