Heavenly sword was a great game. Comparing Lair to it is kind of an insult and is completely rediculous. The only reason Heavenly Sword may have seen less than favorable reviews was because it was short, but it was still absolutely amazing and is still one of the technical showcases for the PS3.

I think Too Human will have lower overall scores than Heavenly Sword but I think the comparison is valid. Both were games that were delayed for far too long and came out disappointing IMO.

I wasn't trying to compare Lair to Heavenly sword as an absolute comparsion. I used an 'or' statement, defining the ranges of success as defined by Lair, and Heavenly Sword.

Lair was hyped, then tanked with the reviews, and failed to move many units (no PAL numbers, but I assume 500k).

Heavenly Sword underwhelmed with reviews (81%), and had a poor initial showing, followed by very strong legs, and was a commercial success.

So Too Human could be in between those 2 areas: Tank with reviews & sales, Mediocre reviews & good sales, or somewhere in between. I think it still stands a very good chance of hitting 1m units sold, but still be considered a poor game.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Too Human was rushed. It should've released in 2018.

I find it interesting how many good development teams - Factor 5, Free Radical, and now Silicon Knights - find themselves struggling with the HD consoles, to the point where they're forced to release unexciting, often buggy and unfinished games. Perhaps the argument that the world wasn't ready for the move to HD gaming actually holds some weight.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

could too human be the haze of the 360?

please discuss!

Nope Haze was panned Too Human will be medicore at worst

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Xbox live:mywiferocks

Hmh.
I think more lair:It sounds good but is not.
O well, that happend in haze too.

Take my love, take my land..

Its beyond my imagination why anyone could have thought haze was going to rock. It looked average at best, and when the demo arrived people should have known that it was crap.

I didnt really look into lair, so i was neither hyped nor disappointing.

Imo too human always looked crap and it might turn out to be. And yes this game was hyped as well.

Considering that both the PS3/360 owners have the Fall to look forward too, I'm pretty sure that this game will be forgotten.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Guidelines to understanding my train of thought:

  • THE METAL GEAR SOLID FRANCHISE IS THE BEST THING TO HIT THE PLANET SINCE THE PS3!! THUS, MGS FRANCHISE >> SLICED-BREAD.
  • Solid Snake shall and well always shove 1up mushrooms up Mario's ass.
  • Solid Snake shall and well always decimate Master Chief with a flurry of rocket launchers, shotgun rounds, and a 20 minute monologue.

Totally agree! Factor 5, Free Radical and Silicon Knights were one of the best smaller, independant developers around last-gen! When current-gen arrived, a lot of developers had to invest huge amounts of money into getting to know, and pumping out some games that would be fit for this generation. The smaller developers usually don't have these kind of resources in terms of money and it takes more time for them to get access to, and get to know all the new tools. And they too have to pay 100+ employees, so they are forced to push a game on the market sooner or later to keep the company (sort of) profitable. So this makes an eery situation for the smaller dev-teams that had a great track-record in the past and are all struggling right now to get their latest games on par with the games coming from the big 3rd-party companies!
