Forums - Gaming - I need help in a decision of these August RPGs

@Euphoria
Just goes to show how great the game is, that it can use visuals that are kind of between PS1 and 2, and yet still get such accolades.

Disgaea 4tw, I kinda figured most reviews would be a lot lower than RPGfan's since they're a dedicated RPG site and probably have more love for this type of game, I'm glad to see so far I've been wrong.

From what I have read at IGN, I am expected them to give it an 80+ as well.

I personally love the 2D sprites.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't change a thing about the graphics, but I do understand that they're not technically the most impressive, and when trying to be an objective reviewer you have to take into account not just how much you like the graphics, but also a little bit of how technically impressive they are as well as how dated they may feel to others. So I expect visuals to be the game's main issue from reviewers.

im pretty sure Disgaea 3 is gonna last you like 100+ hours so you should get that

 I agree. Disgaea 3 should be a great game at any rate.

Tales of vesperia, hands down, no competition.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

What helps here I guess is that graphics were never the important part in an SRPG like this.

Infinite Undiscovery.

tri-Ace FTW!

That game could give America's Top Chef a run for their money, it's so choppy.

BTW: He's talking about August. Infinite Undsicovery is September.

And if he actually read the thread, he would have seen the fact that I am already getting it.

Both games will be very good (ToV and Disgaea), I understand you're planning to buy them both, just not at the same time? What I know from Nippon Ichi/atlus titles is that they are rare to find after a while. ToV will be widely available for a longer period.
