No, I'm pretty sure this is about as pointless as they get.

I think the number of households that have a console (people who have access to Wii) is very significant to understanding the VG industry from a management and marketing perspective.

steven has a very good point as many people have it for their family and thats typically between 3 to 6 people in a house it could very well be in 1 to 2% of households.

Well when number of Wii consoles rises to 120-130 Milion Nintendo will start controlling minds of Wii owners trough that nice blue light.
