I think its a cool choice I just think it looks like a voodoo doll some people might bitch about that.

Sackboys are creepy voodoo dolls. I don't see how they can reach the "mass market".

Personally, I don't think so. I don't like how Sackboy looks at all(or his name for that matter), and also, don't you customize your own personal Sackboy? Wouldn't that instantly make it difficult to market a character that is essentially a template for a "make-your-own-character" feature?

That's the whole idea. If they want, every game commercial and such will feature a sackboy of that main character.

It's not a normal mascot, it's not one character, it's more like a theme.

Sony has to market it properly and get a vice grip so that no one else will EVER have access to them, but yes, sackboy could have even more widespread appeal than Mii's.

I think those Sackboys will become more of a PS3-Mii equivalent than Home-avatars will be.
So: Sackboys will be Mii's, Sackboy won't be Mario.

If it deserves the title 'mascot'? Hell yes. I like those little, creepy-but-cute little voodoo-dolls.

I don't believe Sackboy deserves it. Theres no sales to follow. If i was Sony I would put LBP over and then see how it sells before I consider it a mascot. Mascots are usually some of the top selling faces that make or break a system. The name is synonymous with the system. LBP wont be synonymous with Sony for a good long while.

If LBP equates to Sonys Mii's...then home is pointless, because that was one of the reasons it was created besides for to beat live (which it wont).
