Virtua Tennis 3 (or any sports game not related to NFL really), Kameo has some decent 2 player action, Guitar Hero, Viva Pinata, Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Kind of a shame you don't have a HDD, because the best casual games are on XBLA.

I would not go passed the hardcore games either. I've known females that hate games that got into Halo 3, purely because it's such a thrill when they get a kill. Don't get stuff like Gears and Rainbow Six: Vegas because it'll be a little too uninviting, but don't think they won't like it just because it takes more then 5 minutes to understand how the game works.

yeah, but i am not paying 100 bucks for a hard-drive when I get my core for 199.

Also, I am not going to pay for gold membership.

I am still getting hardcore games for myself. I just need a game or two so when my girlfriend comes over and if she wants to play sometime, it can be done.

I don't think you need a gold membership to buy XBLA games, just the points card.

Also, I think the HDD is a rip off aswell, when I had my pro 360, I was considering getting another hard drive (the 20gb goes by so quickly), the price put me off.

Still, I seriously recommend Virtua Tennis 3, it's very easy to pick up and play (essentially 3 face buttons and analogue is the control) and it has mini games that are quite entertaining.

Oh, and I'll also recommend one of the Koei button mashers (Dynasty Warriors, Warriors Orochi and that latest one, I think it's Bladestorm?). First time players will LOVE it, because there is something uniquely satisfying about seeing your kill count tip over 1000.

looking for 2 players easy-to-get-into, local multiplayer games when my girlfriend comes over.

*note*, no, I won't get a Wii, so please don't suggest.

*extra note*, no XBL games, my arcade version won't have space for them.

Scene it and Fusion Frenzy 2 (like a mario party) and its like $20.00 know a casual price eveb

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Xbox live:mywiferocks

I would also suggest looking into a used HD on ebay/craigslist. Missing out on the XBLA is missing out on a huge portion of fun casual games. We all know what MS charges retail but who in their right mind buys retail. They normally run around $30 used. That's cheaper than another memory card...

Completed X360:
High Def Movie Collection

Eternal Sonata - 3 player
Perfect Dark Zero - 2 player
Burger King Big Bumpin' - 4 Player
WarTech - 2 Player

Repeating pretty much what everyone has said and a few more

Viva Pinata is a highly underrated game, and the 2nd one coming out has co-op which makes it a must buy IMO
Scene It is a blast with friends
The Lego SW and Indy games are great fun
Eternal Sonata- Love this game more then I thought I would
Virtua Tennis 3- My favorite Tennis series

And for the love of all that is good in gaming , buy a used 20 gig HD off of ebay or something for cheap. XBLA is casual game headquarters. Castle Crashers is coming this week :)

i think lips and viva piñata.

but of course lips is a ripp off on singstar.
