With the new series of X Factor starting today in the UK, I thought I'd ask whats your opinion on these type of shows.

Are they a good way of breaking into the music industry (as Will Young, Kelly Clarkson, Girls Aloud, Leona Lewis found out).

Or are they a bad idea (Hearsay, One True Voice, David Sneddon, etc are proof of this).

No. They should ban them all as they all suck donkey nuts. Although it is funny to see someones dreams smashed on live TV.

Not a fan at all, I knew a girl in the finals of the latest X factor, she is called Kimberly if you know her. So I supported her, that's it though

Reality TV that's actually reality, I don't mind. American Gladiators was essentially reality TV and that was sheer awesome on a stick.

The stupid ass dating crap and other relationship is so full of crap that i just want to beat them with a club, which I think would make some awesome reality TV.

Then there's TLC and HGTV which have home remodeling and redecorating. Trading Spaces, What not to Wear, that my mom watches almost religiously. It's kinda boring, but I have to admit, it does have some pretty nice ideas from watching it, plus I don't feel like I'm watching the hairy asscrack of society.

i only watch the auditions on the X factor, i enjoy laughing at how s**t people on there are, simon cowells put downs are hilarious as well, other than that i dont give a sh*t as they take it too seriously after that
