(....You're right...that would work....with an FPS. Even then it still wouldnt be fluid)

Wait a second, are you actually suggesting that the Wii is clunky while a 360 controller is fluid and tight for FPS?

2 sticks is so clunky and sad for shooters. It really couldn't get any more awkward for FPS unless you were doing it with boxing gloves on. Which is why I play them on PC, and I get the added bonus of it not being a LOLFAILBOX.

Please don't debate that 2 sticks are actually good for shooters. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of fact.

Show me one FAILBOX 360 player who handles like that and I'll shut up about that particular topic.   Though I do find it ironic that console shooters laugh at Wii graphics in the same breath that they talk about how OMG AWESOME nubstick shooters are.  Particularly funny when you consider all the top 360 games (minus H3) are on PC and in far superior form in every possible way.

Oh dear.

well he is somewhat right. I dont see many Wii owners being into the super-fast twitch action FPSs.

Anecdotes are pointless.

how many Wii owners do you see buying a game like Unreal Tournament? I dont see many. It would sell just as well as Hail the Chimp did.

There is no market fore any game if the games aren’t there :P

What I am saying is that 360 didn’t have gamers that liked shooters until shooters started appearing on it. The same thing can be said about the Wii it didn’t have a market fore fitness until Wii- sports and Wii-fit came.

I do buy shooters on my 360 and if good shooter would come too Wii then I would buy them there as well…

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

You cannot say that Wii owners don't like FPS, they dont simply get enough choice the only decent FPS games are: RS (which sold well despite its flaws) and MOHH2. MP3 is not really a typical shooter.

On rail shooters sell extremely well on Wii: RE:UC, Ghost Squad or House of Dead (considering age of last two)

I know there are possible more FPS and shooters fans on the other consoles but i dont think difference would be that big if there was enough choice for the Wii owners.

Um, Wii has two FPS that have sold over 1 million. PS3 has two, also.

I still don't think Epic should make games for Wii, but I just want to put the facts in order.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

On the 360 games being better on PC question:

You may be righ that the games are better on PC. However, how many people have the money to buy a PC which can play such games in their best forms? Dell's gaming rigs and Alienware computers cost close to $3,000.00 whereas a 360 which has far superior graphics capabilities to the Wii is also going to be more affordable than a Wii within this month when the Arcade model comes out at $199.00.

Most people that make minimum wage ( a larger proportion of the society than those working in the white collar world) can afford a 360 not so many can afford an Alienware pc.

My most anticipated games:  Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort.  Cave Story Wiiware.

Don't troll.  You are welcome to express your opinion, but the "failbox" crap is just trolling.

I'm going to tell you right now I LOOOOOVE artistic games. LOVE them.

You LOOOOOVE artistic games? That's funny. I thought you loved RPGs.

Ok here's my stance. I won't take up too much time in this wonderful 6 page thread of throat tearing.

1. Mike Capp is an asshole. This is a general statement and can be something one uses for anytime he opens his mouth. It is the way he approaches statements that makes him so.

2. Mike knows he's being an asshole, and it's a brilliant move on his part. Mike doesn't really believe everything he says. Trashing the Wii is part of the bigger picture, building Unreal Engine 3 clientele, something the Wii is not a part of. Epic is working on UE4 also, which is probably going to be a real powerhouse. If the next consoles aren't powerful enough to handle it, Epic will be stuck with licensing it out to PCs, bringing in less profits.

3. Unreal Tournament III and Gears of War 1 + 2 are there to show off the engine. This is why the Wii isn't getting an Epic game. They have no need to show off the Unreal Engine 2.5 any longer. Developers licensing it out for the Wii are in miniscule numbers, and aren't likely to jump off the charts if Epic creates a showpiece for it. That ship has sailed and Epic has moved on. The licensee that is attempting to port the engine has a good chance they will not succeed. It's a pipe dream Epic did not want to engage in themselves, so obviously it won't be the easiest process to port it.

4. I don't know what Mike Capp was talking about in regards to Wii demographics, but I know Epic games would probably be lackluster on the Wii. The problem is, the true strength of Epic's games are also the biggest weakness of the Wii. I'm not talking about graphics either.

As soon as we saw the EA/Epic partner deal yesterday, we knew the game wasn’t going to hit Wii. The first bit of information released confirmed the platforms, and Wii wasn’t one of them. Now, Epic rubs a little salt in the wound with their further statements on the game. Check out this snippet from a Kotaku article…

And we won’t have to worry about some watered-down version on the Wii. (Michael Capps, President of Epic Games) is pretty sure this new game won’t appeal to “that crowd” and that the best way to make a game that works on multiple platforms is to build a super-awesome story, find a badass hero and then work with the system particulars to deliver tailored experiences.

What a bunch of assholes, that's my opinio

The Unreal 3 engine which EPIC makes all its money on does not work on the WII, the reason they made GOW was to show off the unreal engine they were suprised how sucessful the game was.  If unreal 4 engine works with WII or another nintendo system in the future watch them change their tune

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game
