Well, there are some good english VA, but I also prefer Japanese va.

Let's see, Trigun, Evangellion, Hellsing, and FLCL, all have relatively excellent VA.

Check out Johnny Yong Bosch. He is my favorite anime VA from any language.

He voiced Guy from Tales of the Abyss, and Vash the Stampede from Trigun, Nero from DMC4, as well as doing Akira.

I think its funny that there are only two types of postings in this thread.

1) Persons making fun of the voice over (which IS awful)
2) People who say that (1) are PS3 fanboys and jealous.

It seems nobody not even 360 fanboys have anything positive to say about the game .

And I may be a PS3 owner but I see me as pretty neutral when it comes to JRPGs, I wouldn't play them anyway PS3, 360 whatever. Character design is always ridiculous, story is weird, protagonist is (fe)male. Holds also true for this game. The only JRPG I would consider playing is FFXIII. It has AFAIK all the flaws I mentioned above but man does it look beautiful. Something that cannot really be said of the game of this thread.

The space marines of Gears are laughable.
45min cutscenes in MGS4 are absurd.

I guess that's true. For every 20 lame enlgish one liner, there's 1 badass one.

You have a fair point, however, all of those games you mentioned turned out excellent. Hopefully IU will be the same.

 

As for what I like about the game's trailer. Well, the boss battle with the ogre where the dragon is in the background, and you have to stay out of the hotspots, it reminded me of this boss in World of Warcraft. I also love the artstyle. I perfer my RPGs action based lately, it seems, because as I've said, I didn't like Lost Odyssey.

I don't say I like games that I don't. In the past, I've flamed Gears of War, Resistance, MGS2, and Lost Odyssey.

I think the trailer and story of this game look great, and until the game is released, I can't tell for sure. If others have a differing opinion, it's fine. However, if super-fanboys feel the need to completely tear down the game, simply because it's on the 360, then I'll continue to bust them out. I've already named a names here, so I won't keep doing it.

I guess I'm the only person here who doesn't care if the VOs are bad. I've played more then enough RPGs, and more then seen enough animes to be used to it now. I would never play it without the sound.

I wouldn't call the VA bad.  It's just that English VA are bad at calling out attacks compared to the Japanese VA.  Other than that, the English VA isn't so bad IMO.  I am not saying it's great though.

Gosh! Mrstickball owns this thread and told what was needed Couldnt agree more. I do look forward to Infinite Undiscovery, and after enjoying Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon, i expect no more than good quality role-playing game, again.
