It's rated M? Maybe that's only in Australia, because from what I've seen, I don't see Dissaster: DoC being an 'M' game. On the other hand, we know almost nothing about this game, so it could be mature.

M? Hmmm.. that's a surprise.. some on the site aren't old enough to buy the game! lol

M...I thought it was gonna be M the whole time. I mean you have some corrupt government, natural disasters, and of course violence and the occasional cursing when that happens...right?

Keep in mind that Australia has a rating system that is very different from our own: any game that's not suitable for anyone under fifteen years of age is automatically rated "M", which is the highest their system goes. So the gunplay alone is probably enough to put it over the edge down there.

If it comes out in 08 in the states, Bush will probably push for the M rating here... you know, poor government response to disasters.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

This is very good news indeed but Nintendo seems to think of their core games as only being Zelda and Mario titles not a new IP. They probably aren't expecting it to sell in the millions but basically if they put out a game and its anywhere near decent -- which Disaster: Day of Crisis seems like it will be -- it will probably sell hundreds of thousands at least.

Should we really be excited if this game comes out? You've got to wonder if maybe we know absolutely nothing about this game because it's not worth knowing.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Nah, it's just Nintendo's new marketing strategy...

letting gamers know about games is soooo red ocean/20th century thinking.

I hear you, and this game's definitely had one of the weirdest development cycles I've ever seen (over a year late, never previewed, pulled less than a month before its Japanese release, still no official word, etc. etc.).

And yet the game comes from a great developer, and its early development apparently helped to push Nintendo over the edge and purchase Monolith. I think part of why the game's not been getting that much pimpage is two-fold: they're currently emphasizing bridge games (and this one doesn't seem to be one) and, as damkira said, Nintendo doesn't seem to believe it'll be the Next Big Thing. In the end, I'm in the "cautiously optimistic" mindset, but there's plenty of "caution" there.

Alright, Im usually silent to crap like this but I just have to speak up.

The problem with Katrina has nothing to do with the federal government but to do with Louisiana's AWFUL (now ex) state governor Kathleen Blanco and the New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin.
