Forums - Sony - ps3fanboy.com Tales of Vesperia

"Sony may have won the July NPD battle against Microsoft, but things have changed quite a bit in Japan. Shockingly, Microsoft's console has beaten the PS3 across the Pacific -- a strange coup we never saw coming. The wild demand for Tales of Vesperia, an Xbox 360 exclusive (for now) spurred sales of the non-Japanese console, defeating the unusual xenophobic fears of the Japanese gaming public ... if only for this week."

Do you think the ps3 sales will see a boost in sales of some sort when tales of vesperia finnally does come out on the ps3? (this is just what ps3fanboy believes.)

I don't think it's timed.

Just bad writing.

The game was already listed for PS3 once in a Namco Bandai release schedule. It was removed a bit later. I think the deal is the same as the one for Eternal Sonata (lso for The Last Remnant and Star Ocean 4).

If that was true, wouldn`t Ace Combat 6 be on the PS3 by now.

You never know if something that is timed exclusive will come out for the other console.

I suspect this as well. Seems likely that ToV will be this announced PS3 Tales game, and it'll probably be a sort of ToV+ similar to the PS3 version of Eternal Sonata.

Why the hell do people keep repeating this? Its not true at all.

Its not sure it will come to ps3 .

poor ps3 losing games to microsoft, not only the exclusives but also the once announced multiplatformers.

n in no doubt the trend will continue.

If it does come to the PS3, what do u think the hardware boost would be like ? Yes, Japan favors the PS3 over the 360 but then again, the game would have come out a long time b4 the PS3 version (atleast a year, if ever). I think that Eternal Sonata launching in Japan for PS3 would be a good indication as Eternal Sonata did a nice little boost for the 360 there.

Because, for some reason, people can't wrap their head around the idea that a console full of shooter, sandbox, and sports games would sell bad in a region that hates all of those genres (except for Soccer/Futbol, and they could play that on another platform). Of course, every time a Japanese oriented game is released, the hardware sales increase. Most of the games appeal to Americans, so some of them can't understand why they wouldn't appeal to the average Japanese consumer.
