You don't destroy property. That is not a rational decision. It's anger displacement. He wanted to nail the kids to the wall. He should go to therapy, anger management doesn't work, stop drinking, if he does, and next time his kids do something stupid, SELL the Xbox, or give it to charity, don't go nailing electronics to a tree. It's a symptom, not a punishment.

The current value (depreciation over time) of that device should be around 50 bucks - so not that costly.

That's bloody stupid. If he wanted to take it away he could've sold it or given it to a charity that arranges toys for poor kids. He's just taught his kids that it's ok to destroy someone else's property if you're angry with them.

It doesn't say what the kids do but probably they deserved some punishment but this is stupid. There are better ways to punish those kids without throwing money away, you know.

But for the record, if my dad ever told me he would nail one of my consoles to a tree i wouldn't take it seriously, though i would do what he said so he wouldn't take them out of me.

We don't know enough about this incident to make any kind of judgment. Yeah it looks good on paper in opposition to how lazy so many parents have been. Then again the father might have been spot on after all..............or just trying to get some publicity, who knows?

That's a waste of money, a good ol' spanking could straighten those kids out.lol

If they did that to it, then I doubt they would be getting a new console anytime soon....
