My vote would be $10 by itself, however, I don't know how much it costs to make. Basically, they should sell it as close to cost as possible. Then, start putting it into new wiimotes as well.

I will say, that I think that Wii Sports Resort should include 2 M+.
Charge more if they have to, but I think the thought of people having to buy these things separately gets me a little upset.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
nintendo is a smart company.
their attachment rate for little pieces of plastic to games percentage must be like 20$ in plastic for every 50$ game sold.

I think Nintendo will want every wiimote in existence to have a motionplus attached to it (to encourage all developers to use it) and will do everything short of selling it at a loss to get them out there. Including:
It will be bundled with the best selling game of next year, and then it will come with new controllers.
It won't cost too much on its own. I can feel it.
Geez you guys are hard to please. Don't be so quick to turn up your noses at the original technology. My Wii is the one Bluetooth device I own that always works. I've got four computers and the Wii sharing my wireless network and it'ss the only one that never drops connection and it''s the furtherest away.
You don't think Motion Plus is based on a brand new technology. I work with electrical engineers, several with Ph.Ds and they all read EET like I read porno but when I showed them the announcement from Nintendo, it was the first time they knew that the technology was even for sale and they were f**king amazed that anyone was going to be putting this into a video game anytime in the near future.
I don't want to rain on anyone's HD parade. I played PC games for years. I've played on my Dell Ultrasharp 30" at 2560 x 1600 and they looked amazing. OK been there done that. I gave up PC gaming to get the original Wii controller. To get motion plus I would sell my HD TV and watch it on my cell pnone if I had to. As far as I'm concerned, video gaming just got reinvented.
You're free to disagree,as loudly and as long as it suits you. I'm hired to plan on future technology and I get paid because I'm not wrong that often about it. But you're not paying me so you're free to ignore me, laugh at me or make fun of me.

i'm not exactly sure what motion plus is but generaly peripherals non essential to gameplay never get majoirty userbase adoption . Nintendo would either need to give em away for free or sell them for $5-$7.5 to sell to a large % of the install base.
It doesn't matter how much this technolgoy cost a couple of years ago it's about how valuable to consmer decided it is to their gaming experience , unless Nintendo makes Motion + Mandatory of all new games it's going to fail to get any real support.
i'm sure nintendo will sell it as cheap as they can without taking a loss and it will be bundled with wii sports resort which is gonna be massive. Nintendo has every reason to get this to as many wii owners as possible so i think they will try.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

You realize that that wii fit is essentially a 90$ periphrial with a game included that reached 20% of wii's market base. A cheap periphrial that had a real use in games could garner lot's of support on the Wii especially if packaged with a game much like wii play has done.
People pay 10 dollars for a piece of plastic that probably cost 1 dollar maximum to make.
Why would Nintendo sell something for 5 dollars that costs the same (my thought. No idea about price) to make?
The only reason they would do this, is to make M+ get a high install base, but I don't really know why they would need that over profit, as all Nintendo's games are likely to also be compatible with M-zero
