LittleBigPlanet plastered over Leipzig building

Leipzig Games Convention is only a few days away now, and Sony is making sure that their PS3 headliner, LittleBigPlanet, is the talk of the town. In fact, they've plastered a nearby building in the German town with the adorable characters of this PS3 exclusive. This massive display would be an eyesore if it were anything else -- but it's unlikely anyone with a heart would be able to resist the charm of the rainbow assortment of Sackboy and his pals.

The Kratos and Nariko pre-order bonuses are only the tip of the marketing blitz to surround Sackboy, which will also include high-end yard signs to go up in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York, complete with flashing lights. All told, Sony seems very keen on making Sackboy the face of the PlayStation 3 for the near future.

It better sells well....cause apparently sony is spending BIG in this one.

Big deal...Maybe they should make a new commercial...

The game's 2 months away. Why make a commercial?

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

Do those Walmart and Amazon specific trailers count as commercials, because those are pretty cool.
