Forums - Sony - Sony leads the way for digital distribution

Burnout Paradise will become the 6th full length game to be released for sale on PSN.  Sony is clearly leading the console generation into digital distribution.

Warhawk, GT5P, Fatal Inertia, Siren, and Socom.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Define full length game.

I believe it :P Without a size restriction or any real limitation to any download's, the PS3's certainly carving that path ^^ They just need to get off they're ass and get the PS2 compatibility so we can see the entire library on the network >: ) I've got tons of games to catch up on :P

I've got SO 1 & 2 coming on PSP (and I still need to play SO 3), but I really want them to add FF VII. Hasen't Xenogears been added to the JP PSN store?

Wow. a third-party game now.... At least in this area, Sony is really leading the pack. Man, that's ironic. Anyway, at least they're not just sitting around twiddling their thumbs like they did when the iPod came out.....

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

@ retrasado, criterion seem to love Sony! They were one of the first devs (I think) to work on the PS3 version as the lead version

Yeah Criterion is awesome :) They're showing that PS3 can be a damn fine ground to romp around with in terms of freedom and developer space. I think they'll be pleased with the sales Burnout might get online :) And without having to pay for the disc, it'll be all the better for them ^^ If more developers take advantage of the PSN, we could see the new console leader in terms of online distribution ^^
