Guesstimate is a bad word.  Estimate from and advanced and complicated mathmatical formula would be a more accurate term.

Guesstimate assumes a made up number with no ryhme or reason.

I saw a few in Wal-Mart the day before I finally found WiiFit.  They were gone (2 or 3, i forget) days later when I went back there for something else.

Wow, a truly impressive feat by the ps3.  I didn't expect it to outsell the 360 with the price drop.  I think part of the problem with the 360 right now is that it hasn't had any major new exclusives come out in awhile which has made it lose its momentum.  Maybe some of the RPG's (Infinite Undiscovery, Too Human, Tales of Vesperia, etc.) will give it a little boost from the "normally Sony crowd" in the coming months.

This is the biggest percentage difference I can recall between VGC and NPD for the ratio between the PS3 and XBOX360 console sales. Based on the numbers of: VGC: PS3: 180k XBOX360: 310k NPD: PS3: 225k XBOX360: 205k that means VGC had the XBOX360 selling 1.72x the PS3, while NPD had the XBOX360 selling .91x the PS3. So, at least as far as ratios of sales between those 2 competing consoles, it could be said that there was quite a bit more than 50% disagreement if you start with the NPD numbers, since 1.72x is 89% higher than .91x. --Darin

Instead of everyone screaming at each other and loling isn't anyone slightly confused how the 360 didn't see a big change in sales despite a price drop?

Before the NPD numbers were released if you had asked people of the sales trends they would have expected im sure everyone would have said a big increase for 360.

Personally im going to wait a few days to see if NPD make any changes to their data. It just seems strange that there wouldn't be an increase off a price drop.
