That's a difference of ~100k which is ~50% of the NPD figure. VGC was ~50% off on their estimate for the Xbox 360 in July.

 

 

You have to understand. This is forum has a huge fan base of Xbox / Nintendo fans. A majority of them also being under 15 years old. Many of the predictions and assumptions are based solely on fanboyism. Its disappointing to see.

No, since only one person makes the estimates, this reasoning is dumb.

 

I'm talking about audience reaction not estimates. The estimates are based on a formula that guesstimates from a sample. (I'm totally assuming this.)

 

Guesstimate is a bad word.  Estimate from and advanced and complicated mathmatical formula would be a more accurate term.

Guesstimate assumes a made up number with no ryhme or reason.
