Its 40k+ watever the ps3 sold in canada.

The 179k number from Vgchartz is the estimation for US only, Vgchartz has 199k for the whole of the Americas. So it isn't 40k + whatever PS3 sold in Canada.

Uh... yeah they do. They're a tracking company. They do the same thing Nintendo does. It's not an exact science.

Although I don't think this month is one of them. I'd gurantee there were weeks VGchartz was closer to the real numbers then NPD.

They have to estimate about 40% of there sales numbers IIRC as they do not have total tracking. For one they do not have any Wal-Mart numbers as Wal-Mart does not provide them.

I must say these numbers are very weird almost to the point of unbelievable real.
