firefox blocks some adds on this site, wish I cared enough to figure out how to block more. i am sorry to whoever pays the bills for this site (ioi?) but some of these just plain annoy me. I thought the vgchartz store was supposed to make it so that we would get less ads, is it not being used?

Yeah, we have a pretty nice Alexa. Time for some real ads.

Yeh, if we had ads for games it would be better

The main thing is, this site as the traffic to have some regular sponsors with quality ads that target this audience.  Games are one thing, but also ads for places like Newegg and online shops.  It doesn't need randomly rotating ads for credit checks and Fiji holidays.  Not only are they not going to get clicks, they aren't going to rake in as much money for the site as regular sponsors will.

I give that post a 9.7.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

I kinda miss adds now i havent seen one for 5 months , btw this thread is likely to get locked.

OT : specific adds reduce the potential candidates for advertising which in turn reduces advertising revnue.

Like profcrab said, you've got the traffic for better sponsors. An example I can think of right off the top of my head is www.w3schools.com . They have a higher alexa rating than this site (~2200) but they have nice non-intrusive ads for web services and the like.

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it
