Even with HD textures, superior online, better gameplay & graphics, and better multi-media functions in the current gen consoles.

The PS2 will always remain The Greatest Console of All Time

PS2 is arguably the greastest console of all time, the best selling console of all time, and has the most awesome library of games available. Congrats on setting the bar so high.

That said, LOL @ people that believe ps3 is gonna sell 100 million.

PS2 was the perfect console at the perfect time... It had the right balance of everything... Kudos for the sales that were very well deserved...

I can't really say that any of this generation's consoles have had the same effect that PS2 did on the industry... Wii, great motion controls, bad processing and graphical abilities, 360... RRoD... PS3, it looks like the full hardware architecture doesn't match the brain power of the cell processor (Or at least the resulting software so far hasn't run circles around 360)...
