Geting a system for a game that is on the PC... one of the main reasons why I never bothered even thinking about the original Xbox. If the 360 didn't have JRPG's I wouldn't even think about it either.
You can get a pc that can play Mass Effect with similar visual levels for $300?? Wow. Is that with or without monitor?

No you can't.
A PC up to running those games at medium settings is going to cost you 2.5-3x as much as a 360.
I challenge you to spec me a PC that will do what you say, or even near what you say.
And no throwing in cost of Live for 5 years because you do not need that for the game.

Actually....according to amazon Mass Effect for 360 is now $39.99 brand new. A copy you can sell or trade in if you finish it. Or even find cheaper used. I paid 29.99 for mine. Mass Effect for PC is 49.99. A copy that is restricted to 3 total installs on a PC and will need calls to EA to activate after those 3 installs are used up. Sorry to go off topic but had to correct the misinformation... |
He shoots!.... ... ... ... ... ...
He Scores!!! Bleachers full of 360 fanboys cheer from the top of their lungs chanting "jasonnc80! jasonnc80! jasonnc80!"

I love Mass effect, I can't wait till the second one comes out. I wouldn't buy it for a pc because I use my pc for work and get tired of looking at the screen. I don't know why people don't get that, plus most 360 exclusives that come out on the pc take a long time.
i feel glad for your friend that he is buying a system with some good games on.
but i feel sorry for him that he thinks mass effect is going to be a good game
Mass Effect is a great game though the main story was pretty short and I felt that the final parts of the game and the ending could have been a lot better. Instead, the cut-scenes with the big finale weren't really that exciting and then before I realized it, I was free falling from the extreme cliff hanger of an ending. I know that Mass Effect is a series.... but damn.....
I beat the game in around fifteen hours. Obviously I didn't explore everything and do every side quest, I mainly did the side quests at the locations where the main story was taking place.
Damm Mass Effect, just tell him to save nearly constantly, and I just played and died, and went back to before when I saved!!!!!!!!!! and I had so nearly cleared that area (well I had, but I died from the rocket they fired before they died)
