Forums - Gaming - Have you ever randomly went off on a game?

One story I got, was when I was playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and I was at the last battle and just randomly started cursing, making threats, and pointing my index finger at random parts of my room for an hour. Talking smack after every attack and standing up when doing a special, like I just cured cancer.

I don't understand why, maybe because I was alone the entire day, and I really hated that final boss. The one line, "rake my talons against your face" just kept repeating in my head over and over.

(*getting off track*)

So, I ask have you ever:

Randomly started cursing/swearing

Talking smack like the computer cares

Scream out/ Shriek battle cry in triumph

Copy the mannerisms of your character (stab, shoot,....grunt)

Pretend to be exhausted yourself after a hard fought battle (Kill a Colossus anyone?)

Sweat in anxiety when puzzles/bosses can't be figured out

Lean back/forth with the controller

Duck when going under something tight (Driving/Flight games, you sick perv!)

Make a remix in your mind to a game's soundtrack

No, in reality, leaning with the controller happens mostly when playing MKWii. And usually when really trying, i do get sweatty. And swear a lot when someone pushesh me out of the track in Mario Kart.

Cat Scratch Fever

^Yeah been there online and trying to play the last part of the Chernobyl mission on Veteran or above.

Also, Soulcaliber 4 really pissed me off for some reason so did Scareface (I think that last one had to do more with the assinine plot explanation than gameplay).

Haha, yeah, I do all of those. When a game really pulls you in, you have to give in to it :P

^ same with me... I never get mad in almost any game...

I'm sure its happened more often but at the moment i can only think of the time I was playing Braver Fencer Musashi on ps2 and I kept getting to the end and dying and having to do that entire stretch all over again it was so f-ing annoying i actually dont think i finished the game lol...

“When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment and I told them they didn’t understand life." - author unknown
