Forums - Nintendo - Capcom considering certain 360/PS3 titles for Wii

trestres said:
Capcom always thought of Wii owners as second rate consumers. We are always getting the scraps or spin-offs.

Read the OP this titles don't even exist, a Wii version will only be available if the HD ones flop, Wii is here to save the day! But of course, 2 or 3 years after the original release and dumbed down like Okami or Dead Rising. It's more than likely that people won't be hyping this dumbed down versions and that will be another excuse: third party dumbed down ports that are released 2 years after the original game don't sell on Wii! =)

And as Onimusha said, they may gimp the games to have an excuse for them to stop working on the Wii if they sell badly.

Yeah, cause the definitive version of RE4 isn't on the Wii, it's on the PS2.

Capcom said the games they were considering haven't been out yet (they're waiting to see how they do on the initial systems)...so Lost Planet and DMC are out. Age of Booty and Flock I'd say are out as well because they're just XBL/PSN games so they aren't costing that much. Not sure if Capcom would care about waiting how they do on the PS3/360. Also, Dark Void doesn't seem like a game they'd be considering on the Wii.

That leaves SF IV, RE5, and DR2 (which isn't even announced). SF IV I see on the Wii for obvious reasons. Same with RE5.

Why not?

@OT

I guess the next lost planet since capcom wants to promote the movie.

Just doesn't seem like a game they'd make on the Wii. Also, I explained why in the same post that it's not Lost Planet.

I know read my post properly  I reply saying the next Lost planet and not the original one maybe a sequel since they are making a movie it is obvious that there will be a sequel to the first Lost planet.About the other thing what is the type of game capcom makes on the wii?So far it has only been ports and games like zack and wiki,wii love golf etc.I don't see why they can't put Dark void on the wii?

Now all my respect for Capcom has gone down the toilet. I've just seen that RE4 vs RE5 comparison. Just wow, Capcom is a really lazy company.

Proud poster of the 10000th reply at the Official Smash Bros Update Thread.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

@ctk

But the poster in the OP was talking about the first Lost Planet. I doubt it.

@Kylle

All right then

4 directional arrows + 1 + 2 = 6. Happy yet?

Exactly.

So what?  Do you just move left, right, up, or down, and only have two attack buttons?

I don't get it.

It's not Capcom's fault name one wii third party that it is putting an effort on the wii and putting one of their main series?none.Atleast Capcom is trying since they are making mh3 for the wii and porting all their good games like okami,dead rising and supporting the wii with really good games like zack and wiki and We love Golf.If one thing Capcom deserves is respect from the wii owners I feel that is the only company that is atleast trying.

.....................

Correct about the arrows, 1 is normal attack, 2 for the special attacks.

/controls argument

Are we still talking about Street fighter here?

You need six buttons for the six attacks, also a directional pad.

or are we talking aobut Brawl?

I'm confuzzed.

D pad + A & back button, all 6 easely accessible from the same position (1 and 2 are absolutely useless here)  Nunchaku for the movement. Anyway, RE5 seem like the most  probable one even if I don't much care for it, they could make some interesting thing with DMC on the Wii but it won't happen.

Persons without argument hide behind their opinion

How about: Nunchuck analog stick for movement, A, B & directional pad for 6 buttons?

Not ideal -- GC controller (or classic controller) would be preferable, I'm sure -- but it just has to *work* with the remote... not be the best control setup.

Oh, okay, I get it now.

That'd be extremely weird, but I suppose it could work.

I hope RE5 and Dead Rising/Devil May Cry...but most important RE5, thats the good one
