Forums - Sales - Is Madden All Play actually Selling well????

@mike_intellivision, Id, have to say 1 million would mean it sold well on the wii, very well, considering that last years release never even got to one million, neither did the ps3s though.

for this to be considered a hit it must sell more than the ps3 version, which outsold it last year by 10k. all in all i do expect it to sell above a million.

the install base it has does give it a chance to out do the ps3 version... the advantage is more pronounced then it was last year at this time.

i doubt it will even move anywhere near the 360s sells this year

also isd be intrested to know shipping numbers on all 3 so we can see what ea thinks they will do

Amazon doesn't mean much. However some analysts stated earlier that Madden 09 sales have sold better in their first day than Madden 08 which could suggest that All-Play is selling better. But there is no guarantee considering they were discussing all versions.

I think that what's best to take out of Madden 09 on Wii is that the title is going to open bigger than 08 due to larger userbase and Wii being a huge mainstream console, but not as big as the other versions. But recognize that majority of this titles sales will be over time especially during the holiday season where mainstream titles on the Wii sell amazing.

actually its selling quite poorly, it didnt sell out first or second day at my WalMart. We sold the last copy we had three days after the game's launch...

Need more info to get the answer. Did the other 2 versions sell out on day 1? Im sensing your post is sarcastic, but with you, I can never tell

the PS3/360 versions sold out day 1

we had 70 copies of each version

The wi version sold about 40 copies day one, day two 15.

That's all the copies the store was alloted? I guess the Hudson/PR area isn't that populated? Figured not being far from Tampa and all, it'd be fairly dense.

All things considered, that's not bad even for the Wii version, as it means its selling at less than a 2:1 ration to the HD counterparts

Plural of anecdote, not data, etc. etc.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Nope, as Onimusha told us all based on his sample size of 1 store, without any numbers for said store, it's a bomb:

Oh god, cry about it some more why don't you. "The thread was locked, but I'm going to make sure everyone knows it was there!" Good grief.

IGN said it was a "great" game with an 8.6 rating.

If all play got an 8.6, what did the other versions get?

Excuse my ignorance, but what do all the seal jokes mean?

I like to think it means that a innocent, niave poster is about to get severely beaten down by all others as seals do in the wild.

basically translated to mean that the point regarding Amazon sales being updated hourly or daily or something ridiculous like that means that it cannot be used to argue game sales has been explained that much it should be added as a disclaimer to the site.

On topic - I'd be suprised if the all play made a difference to the game as the people it's targeting dont get on to sites like IGN much and thats where it's being bigged up the most.

The joke is outdated, however, as seals are no longer 'beaten' anymore as regular practice. Now, they are most often hunted with guns the same as one would hunt a moose or deer (but, obviously easier).

We need to find a new industry to misconcieve and pick on.

On topic - I really don't follow Football games but after hearing some of the reviews on this I might be interested in an All Play hockey game! (rent it, anyway)

so what your saying is the Wii's "casual" adience didn't rush out to the stores at midnight rather slowly bought the game throughout the week, yet you are still sold out anyway.

Did you get more shipments of 360 or PS3 version while the Wii version was still in stock.  Or is the fact just that they all sold out and who cares how fast wether 1 day or 3 days.  Either way they sold out in less than a week.
