i was just browsing amazon and i see in the best selling videogames, Madden 09 xbox360 in #2 rank, the ps3 version is in #6, and to my surprise madden wii all-play is in #10 off the best selling games in de moment could this mean that the game is selling well? if it made it to the top 10 it most be salling something

I wouldnt be surprised. IGN gave it quite a complimentary review. Good reviews=good sales, at least more often than not. I might actually pick it up myself. Its been ages since I bought a football game, and I NEVER owned a madden game before

Amazon sales really don't mean much. In fact sales from no single retailer mean very much, because all retailers tend to slant towards particular market demographics. Best thing to do is wait for real estimates to come in.

Since Onimusha's thread was locked, and I thought I had a rather good post, I'm going to repost it here. Here's a look at the sales pattern of Madden '08 on the 360 and Wii platforms.

360:

1st week: 711k

% of overall sales in 1st week: 30.6%

Wii:

1st week: 74k

% of overall sales in 1st week: 9.5%

As you can see, Madden '08 for 360 sold almost a third of all sales in the first week, while Wii sold only a tenth of all sales in the first week. If the Wii version of Madden '09 sells only a third as much as the 360 version, it has a chance to outsell it in the long run. This should be interesting to watch.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do all the seal jokes mean?

 I think it's that when you quote Amazon charts as evidence, it kills baby seals. Just guessing.
