All this is is the beginning of Russia trying to retake all of its former (USSR) satellites, one by one. Georgia will be the first...

They've done this before. After the communist revolution they did the same thing.

And next it will be world domination? Common dont tell me that those old "Red Army" fears still exist because thats just stupid.

Kasz: Zimbabwe is still years behind most countryes in the world... Hell 2/3 of Africa for example is.

And saying out of touch... me? Well no my friend the only difference is that I had the chance to see Russia with my own eyes and I dont have to rely on lame CBS reports like most of you. But bealive what you want, I wont try to convince you anymore because I see its pointless and its getting late here. Im just sad that most people after this incident will still live by thinking that Russia is evil...

We don't think Russia is evil. We think what they're doing is wrong. lololololololololol

Your statements indicating that it's okay for Russia to try to take over Georgia against Georgian will is enough for me to know that your belief system is completely skewed. No matter how you slice it, forced expansionism and conquest is wrong, even more wrong when the people you're conquering hate your fucking guts after 80 years of ruthless domination at your hands.

Well there are luckily 2 points of view so saying that my bealief is wrong is again a subjective opinion, and I bealive the same about yours. Still I wont pick on it because I know that you have a right to have your own opinion.

Anyways this discussion had degenarted a lot so I will try and finally go and try to sleep now :P

Just a question though... do you or do you not agree that the recent parlimentry russian elections were rigged to go in Putins favor?

If you don't believe "the west" how about the leader of the opposition party?

Is your opinion that it's ok to be despotic if the people have an ok life? Yes, if its a qulity life then there is no issue in my eyes. (just so long as they don't speak out against the government I dont see Russia getting to that point, as I mentioned there are plenty of anti-governemt papers all over Russia.)

Rigged? Could have been, but in the same time I know that Putin would have had no issues winning the elections.

If that was the case why was it rigged?  You don't need to rig elections to win parlimentry elections if the people like you.

I know an area I can go too where everyone will tell you Bush was the best president we've had in the last 20 years.

No doubt your just suffering from location bias.

And why wouldent I want that? Because if this will happen sooner or later Russia could make similar moves with Georgia to.. I wouldent mind if Russia would try to make a forced unification, because the bigger trhe better IMO. And TBH I dont think that anyone would dare to say no. Russia is still a huge military power and arguably the biggest economical one ;) Especialy for the long-run.

Whoa-whoa-WHOA.

WTF? You don't see a problem with "forced unification"?

What does Iraq has to do with this? Kasz pointed me out how bloody and violent Russias methods are and I showed him that the allmighty USA is no different.

And no I dont have any issues with forced unification if in the historic long-run we would mostly benefit from it, and TNH IMO the only thing that could clear this Osetian-Georgian issues is if it would be united with Russia. A real power, a real solution ( OK, that last one might sound a little crazy I know :P ).

Who is "we"? Are you Georgian?

And most importantly, shouldn't the Georgians have a say in this?

No he's Hungarian/Romanian and wants Russia to gain back all it's USSR territory under a corrupt despotic government.

Why he thinks this is a good idea i've yet to see. I think it's just because he hates the west.

Also, as bad as Iraq was. (Afghanistan did have reasons... Oil wasn't one of them.)

At least we didn't attack a democratic country ruled by the people. So is it right to kill inocent people just because they are ruled by a dictator?

Hate it? Absolutly not. My favorite game developers/movies are from the USA and Im also fat like most Americans (jk):P

And yes I do want Russia to gain back, not its former teritories but its former glory and power. One sided world domination is never a good thing...

While I want Russia to gain back it's rule by the people instead of having it's elections rigged.

As for a one sided world domination... no such thing exists.

So you dont bealive that the NATO is the worlds biggest military power? Lets be honest any country that dares to say "NO" to their democracy will sooner or later get attacked politicaly or even military... there needs to be a balance, and at this point the CIS is the only power that could be considered as the only ballance.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Don't forget that the Georgians also tried that forced unification thingy with South Ossetia.

That isn't okay either, is it ? :p

Perhaps you just know pro-putin people.  Or people are afraid to tell a stranger they don't like him.

South Ossetia is part of Georgia... not it's own country.

Largest Military power in the world? Yeah sure. Will they actually use that power for anything? No.

NATO like the UN rarely acts... and only in cases where things have gone insane.

You only wish it to not be true when it obviously is.  Russia is no longer a democracy.
