Forums - Nintendo - Did you skip the Metroid Prime series because it was First-Person?

My favorites series is Metroid. I was in love with Super Metroid, and I absolutely love Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission...

But Metroid Prime 1... wow, just wow. Is currently my favorite game ever. The level on immersion and details is incredibly. You should play Metroid Prime 1 first. Metroid Prime 3 is good, but is more like a FPS.

Metroid Prime 1 is a pure FP Adventure.

Fernando, I think you're my twin.

Metroid Prime=Best game ever.

 Without a doubt.

Thanks for reminding me to go back and beat Metroid Prime 3 .... stupid Mario kart keeps distracting me. I left off after getting the Nova beam and back tracking to collect all the extra expansions. MP3 works great in fps mode ,but they could of allowed switchable beams like the first 2 :( I miss being able to choose the beam I want to use.

i still think super metroid is the best in the series but metroid prime was amazing game, it kept the adventuring and atmosphere of metroid well in 3D, you should give it a try.

they should make a 2D metroid on the DS though.

Metroid in 3D works better in first person than third person, because I say so. Three awesome games and you get to see the world through the eyes of a woman. What more do you want?

If you want the series to be in third person, you better explain how that would work and be superior to the games in first person.

Super Metroid.

Super metroid isn't 3rd person, it's a 2d sidescroller.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Uhm..............................................................no.

Youve never even seen Metroid in Third-Person so it can possibly be better. I dont develop games so I cant answer that but I know its possible and Id like to see it in Third-Person.

Ratings mean nothing. Id rather play Pokemon Snap then GTAIV :P

Review ratings are an accumulation of opinions from people who have actually played the game or games. I'd say it means a tad more than a single person's opinion who refuses to play the games because of some hangup.

im actually barely playing the first 3D metroid (Metroid Prime Corruption/wii) and its ok BUT i'd love to see an 2D Super Metroid like the one for SNES. I hope they make a game like that....like the thing the're doing with Megaman 9
