I find it funny how when Lair and Haze got bad reviews, it's ok because it's a PS3 game so the reviewer isn't wrong the game is just bad, yet when it's a hyped up 360 game, if it gets a low grade, the reviewer is wrong/biased/horrible at his job and should lose his job. Don't get me started on what it would be like for a hyped up Nintendo game... |
I missed the part where we see that happening... o_o
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
This is a tough call. GI usually does well-thought out reviews, but they're not infallible. They gave Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom on the PS3 an 8.25 and 7.75, but the game was terrible. Gamestop doesn't even list Dark Kingdom as a used or new title, just the strategy guide.
So, although the GI review might be spot on, I'm reserving judgment until I see it for myself and/or read other reviews.

I called it, even though I hoped it would be good. I think 360 fans pretty much expected this not to be AAA. Haze we had no idea until it launched. Not the same. This game wasn't nearly as hyped, lol.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Funny ain't it?
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."
Too Human huh. It was playable at E3 2006 if i am not mistaken. If the review is close to reality then Silicon Knights is in deep trouble. They said that Too Human would be a trilogy and that each chapter would be epic. I hope the game will sell because i remember a time when silicon knights have had talented developers.

Yeah we know, you hate 360. You yelled at your mom for buying you one. You made fun of a lady that died, who worked for Microsoft. Whats new? -_- |

Conspiracy theories theorize conspiracy.
Anyway, did you see the reaction when people gave MGS4 an 8/10? Fanboys went crazy. Trust me when I tell you there are far more Sony fanboys here than 360 ones. This game wasn't nearly as hyped as Lair or Haze, so it doesn't compare well, but I think the majority of people expected semi-low scores. Some people just don't like GI. I don't see a bunch of Too Human fanboys around here flaming the reviewer about their prescious game, do you?

Guys. What you played is a game demo made to promote a game. Many developers have spent a lot of time on a great demo just to crap out on the rest of a game. I remember Turok 3 back on the N64. It was awesome when it first started in the city scene. But once that first stage was over, the rest of the game sucked. It all makes sense now, that first stage was a demo meant to promote the game. Think about it, all they need is the sale, so if a developer can get you interested and get your money, who cares if what is beyond that initial buy is any good? Most of those high graphic games don't have long legs, so the most of what they make will be in the first few weeks anyway. Word of mouth isn't near as important.
It's all about the hype. Taking advantage of fanboys, graphic whores, and techies.

Yikes, I can't believe anyone gave EBA under an 8/10, lol. It's one of my favorite games, period.
