You can get Sonic Adventure 2 on the Gamecube (well emulated, but just not fun). Shenmue 2 is on the X-Box, not the Dreamcast, unless you buy and understand the Japanese version.

You can get soul reaver on the ps1.  But it won't look as good as it did on the DC.  Likewise with revolt.  It appeared on the ps1 and the n64....but there was no comparison as far as graphics were concerned.

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 weren't emulated on the cube. The were ported to the cube.

Aside from that. With all these Dreamcast games coming to the Wii.... Wii is just the Dreamcasts bitch confirmed!

There was a Pal version of Shenmue 2 with english subs on the Dreamcast.

Ah, forgot to remention that one. It's definitely worth getting if you've got a Dreamcast, yes. Although ironically, it's also rumored as having a Wii sequel (although I'm not sold on the rumor yet myself).

And when I referred to Sonic Adventure 2 not being fun, I meant the game itself: the Gamcube version was a perfect replica of the Dreamcast version.

True, I forgot about that (which is strange, because I played it extensively..) Still, Nintendo79612 is here in the US, so unless he's willing to go through some extra hoops to acquire the PAL version, it's not going to be easy to get his hands on it for a decent price. Which is sad, since it's better than 1 in a lot of ways (it just needed to de-emphasize the lack of money, even if that emphasis was realistic).

Keep in mind that I'm not trying to dissuade you from getting a Dreamcast, Nintendo79612; if you think it's worth it, more power to you, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it quite a bit. I'm just laying out the options for you, i.e. the ways you can play most of the Dreamcast's best stuff using just what you've already got.

IF you can get one cheap... Many Games you can play with your Wii but unfortunately there are some you can't... Shenmue I + II (Sry to say Noname, but Shenmue II is availlable for dreamcast and also localized, though it has some small graphical upgrades in the xbox-version) are just awesome... really... just way too short but I'm still praying for a trilogy compilation for Wii ;) Ecco was a lot of fun for me too and the Berserk-Game (Based on the Manga) was just awesome. These titles justify buying one, but really only if you can get it cheap... Soul Reaver you can also get for your PC and like said many are availlable for GC. I would say unless you can make a great deal stick with your wii and pray, that those Games get a re-release like I do ^^

Ferrari F355 challenge....... Good racer

or just go on metacritic and see which are the highest scoring Dreamcast games

Either way, based on the price of a 2nd hand dreamcast its worth getting a Dreamcast just for Shenmue 1 & 2 alone.....
