Clinton - sex Bush - illegal war
hm... which one of those is worse... How many 10's if not 100's of thousands did Clinton's sex kill? |
Quick Correction:
Clinton: Impeached for perjuring himself in front of a grand jury for the specific purpose of defrauding a women, whom he assaulted, out of her rights to access federal courts to seek justice. Also, let's not forget the irony in this story as Clinton both championed this very bill giving women access to federal courts and had a huge celebration on the day he signed it into law only to turn around and perjure himself when it came and bit him in the butt.
Bush: Extended and unpopular war. Also, it was the first ever preemptive war perpetrated by the country.
Also, while reading this debate there are a couple of things I'm noticing that are fallacious arguments.
1)Using approval ratings. The opinion of what the framers of the constitution called "the unreasoning masses" can't be used to support an argument.
2)International approval. Means absolutely nothing.
3)Claiming tax cuts hurt economy. Liberals like to spin this as only helping the top 1% because less tax doesn’t work well with their marxist/socialist economic ideology. In reality most people who earn 100k+ (top 1%) are small business owners. Under tax law all revenue a small business brings in must be claimed on income taxes. So to put it this way, your neighbor next door that owns small painting business claims easily makes over 100k but still only brings home around what you make after taxes, business expenses, and operating costs. The tax cuts were designed and have succeeded in encouraging small business and entrepreneurships, especially minority owned. Last time I checked it was up to 80% of the economy, which is really good.
4)Congress controls the economy, not the president. Clinton was a 6 year lame duck that only came out every now and then in order to do a little dance and make the unreasoning masses happy. It makes no sense to say that the economy was better under Clinton because in 1993 when he took office it was in recession and didn’t come out of it until 1995 when the democrats were kicked out of congressional control; and the economy remained strong until 2007 when the democrats were put back into congressional control.
