milk ... zelda (i hope)

Practically every Mario fanboy has half a mind to, and with the Wiimote and Numchuck they just might.

The urge to play is a terrible thing to waste.

Other people have come up with good ideas yah know?

What will Nintendo do without Miyamoto ? They will find another Miyamoto. It's an important guy there no doubt, but it's also a brand, so he doesn't really create 100% all the things his name is on.

But why we are talking about this anyway ? He's not leaving Nintendo or this world anytime soon isn't he ?

They do got other great developers working at Nintendo now...

I doubt Miyamoto would be short sighted enough to have not passed on his philosophy/ethic with video games to an "apprentice" or a number of people that works under him. I'm sure when he retires there will be enough people around to ensure that games are still made the "Miyamoto" way.

I would be concerned about the generation of Nintendo developers after that group, because they would have most likely had no interaction with Miyamoto OR may deem his ideals to be outdated.

There are lots of talented people at Nintendo and Shigerus todays influence is really hard to say.
Aonouma is in charge of Zeldas, Konno Mario Karts, and i've forgot the guys name that is in charge of Mario games. Metroid has never been Shigerus project and HAL developes SSB, Hudson Mario Party. Game Freak/Intelligent System for Pokemon and Paper Mario.

So it looks like Shigeru is more like in charge of 3rd party relations and new ideas, as well as calling the last shots in number of games, due to his title.

@Savior: It was Gumpei Yokoi, who wasn't Nintendo guy anymore at that stage. He already had his own project going with WonderSwan (foil hats anyone).

@Roma&Bardicverse: Yes, Shigeru was the producer of ED. Notice that Eternal Darkness is also Nintendos first party IP. Just like Geist (if i recall).
As i said earlier, Miyamoto is in charge of 3rd party relations.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

What would Miamoto do without Nintendo? If he was with Sony would he have been able to sell the motion controller? No way he could have moved the Xbox towards anything so new.
