Forums - Gaming - Is Boishock really that good?

well bioshock is one of the most highest rated games. many people love it.
after sifting through the demo i thought it was crap and have no intention of buying it for my ps3 or on 360.

It is my favourite XBox 360 game, but I am also a big fan of System Shock 2 and Deus Ex so you could say I enjoy the FPS-RPG cross ...

alright i played the demo and im gonna make a review.

I thought the graphics were just alright nothing great.

The dialoge was on the good side.

The gameplay was just alright.

In short its just an ok game not worth 60 bucks

I got it on PC day 1, so I paid $50 but I agree nevertheless.  Its a good game no doubt, but I think for me personally it was hyped to be something much more than it was and that really hurt my enjoyment.  I've beat it 3 or 4 times now using different abilities and its good, its just not the best game ever or really even on my top 20.

In short: Hell yes. Bioshock is amazing, and well worth your money. Innovative gameplay, biting social commentary, magnificent storytelling and art direction, and a few genuinely moving moments, all wrapped up into one package. It's not something that you should miss.

you said it so I wouldn't have to.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

meh. I got it on PC, and it was good but hardly mind blowing. The art direction was superb, but the gameplay was repetive even with all the powers (I won't even mention the copious amounts of hacking...except right here), and the story was a big let down. Cool game, but not really what I'd call a "Great (with a capitol G) game.

Bioshock is a good game, but after about 1/4th of the way through you will find yourself doing the exact same things over and over again with a different environment to look at, making the middle seem very bland. I'd still recommend playing it all the way through because it's stil la fun game to play.

It's a good game I play it over my friend's house.

To ad a bit to my last post, I definately think it's worth playing. You should rent it if nothing else, but I wouldn't buy it outright for full price. But you would be missing out on a good game if you didn't at least play it more.

It's a really good game. Sure there's some cracks here and there but overall one of the most solid releases of 2007.
