Forums - Nintendo - Did RE4 spoil you?

CoD4's analogue aiming controls are total ass after using Wiimote aiming, yes.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

Do you ever go to other shooters where you have to use a gamepad and wish you had RE4 controls for those games? I'm finding it difficult to readjust after getting so comfortable with Wiimote aiming. It's amazing how big a difference something like that makes.

Definitely! I never want to ever have to play any game that involves shooting unless I am using the Wii remote.  Which is why I keep hoping Capcom bring a new Resident Evil game to Wii.  If they don't I will be forced to get a 360 to play RE5 but using a gamepad will take away half the fun.

All the time. Not just RE4 but MOHH2. MOHH2 spoiled me. I mean dual analog is just so "primitive" compared to a Wii controlled shooting. And it's hard to go back but I still own at Halo 3 haha.

I always hated the fact u had to hope that ur stick would be perfectly moved on to your target. It almost never is. And how, in my case, i would keep that sweet spot about halfway up on the screen and just scroll left and right hoping to hit something. Man how fukn pathetic is that, maybe that was just me

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Yea, after beating both the GC and Wii editions, I feel that TP shooters should all be played with the Wii mote. It feels so natural. My only concern was the Sniper Mode, but we will see how sniping with the wiimote in a proper way works when The Conduit gets released.

As for FPS after playing MP3 I will never ever play another FPS that isnt controlled by a Wiimote or a mouse. CS ftw!

I felt N64, GC, 360 control schemes to still be pretty good.
Though from time to time for certain circumstances it feels annoying if you can't react fast enough.

 Wii: 80-85 Million end of 2009 (1.1.09)

I got the game for Christmas last year. Only played it for 25 minutes so far.

I'll get around to it eventually. >_> I have other games I must beat first!

Nice I need to get this game.
