Until Nintendo can sell 10 million copies of a 3rd party game, they haven't won anything. Neither console at this point has a lot to really brag about aside from hardware sales... at which points, yes, Wii gets bragging rights.
Blame the developers.
We've suffered through studios consolidating into larger-owned corporations where studios aren't 'allowed' to take chances on new style games. It's always about the money.
And that's where Nintendo has you on your side
That's why I'm not sad.
I'm quite excited to pick up a Wiimote v.2 and start swinging a light saber around in near-real-time, without any noticeable peripheral lag.
This is a classic debate of how some people actually have lives and can't afford to devote their personal time to 'hardcore one player games'. I love SSBB and Mario Kart, for example. But I never play them alone. I rarely play anything alone, other than Computer Games.
So, sue me if I kinda like a party console, where my 23-24 year old friends actually enjoy raiding the garage and bringing a TV out and play Mario Kart for 3 hours while we see how drunk we can get by drinking a beer every other race. Yep. Very kiddish
Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players
Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability
Therefore, Checkers > Halo
So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.
