Forums - Gaming - RUMOR: Sony to publish Ghostbusters as PS3 exclusive

I'm sure this would come as a great surprise to Red Fly Studios (the ones working on the Wii version).

Hope it's made exclusive to playstation (psp, ps2, ps3) even though it may just be a good but not great game.

I don't think this will happen because what about the PS2/Wii versions? I know they're different from the 360/PS3 versions and have a different developer, but if Sony publishes that version too does that mean it'll be PS2 exclusive as well? Cuz they would be missing out on a HUGE chunk of sales by not releasing it on Wii, so if they released that version on Wii, there's no reason why they shouldn't release the other version on 360 as well as that would mean more money and sales for them.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I doubt this will happen, but if it is published by Sony, they could still make it for the PS2 then port that to the PSP.

It would be cool if they put the Ghostbusters movie on the PS3 version, much like what they did with Boiler Room on Stranglehold.

sounds iffy.

they've already put too much money into developing the other versions of the game.

No way it'll be PS3 exclusive, and that game doesn't have any significance so it doesn't even matter.

exactly

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

That would definitely throw a wrench into the mix. The Wii game was made separately with a different graphical style was it not? It would be a shame to waste a perfectly good game that they spent time and money on, no?

Just kiss the tip.

Well I am surprised how SCE has basically no licences from Sony Pictures games, but the game is too far down development on the other platforms that I doubt Sony will take over publishing duties

Isn't there a PS2 and PSP version of this game? Why the hell would Sony discard those other versions on their platform? This has to be fake... I can't believe that any division of Sony would allow that...
