Forums - Nintendo - Elebits sequel already in the works for the Wii...

http://www.cubed3.com/news/9784

According to a snippet in this month's Official Nintendo Magazine, a sequel to Elebits (Eledees) is in the works.

The Japanese launch title saw players harnessing the power of small electric creatures known as Elebits. They power everything and anything from your television, computer to automobiles and the kitchen fridge. As a little chap known as Kai, players investigate his home to search for the little critters to restore lost power using his power gun.

The nib in the magazine reveals that Konami are indeed working on Elebits 2 and its due for release on Wii later this year. No additional details were mentioned, but expect an official announcement shortly - unless there's been a typo.

Thanks to C3's Marzy for the tip

Played it, beat it, liked it, even if it starts off a bit slow.

I'm looking forward to a sequel.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Go find it then... it's really one of the best uses of the Wii Remote.  Yeah, I mean that, even today.

This was the overlooked gem before Zack and Wiki or Okami.

I don't remember where I saw it but it shipped worldwide ~350k. Pretty good considering it probably cost <$1mil to make once you consider shared assets and Wii R&D.

I love Elebits.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I do have to warn you that the voice acting is awful.

The level editor is pretty cool... (this video is cool, but it shows a glitch with the editor at the end)

If you're a completist the game is good too, there's collecting (the good type, not the bad type), time trials, challenge modes, lots of stuff to do.

That's great. Elebits is a fun game and I'm very happy about Elebits 2 now.

Already? That game was out around launch i thought? I've got it... it's pretty fun, though the story sucked.

Amusingly it did the whole physics based level editor thing on a console before LBP was even announced.
