Forums - Nintendo - Capcom shooting for 100 zombies at once in Dead Rising Wii.

I already have this on the 360, but I want this one, too... dammit! $30 plz--ok, $40's alright, too...

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I'm not saying that Wii only owners would never buy the game, but if you owned only a Wii, and a 2.5 year old port-make came to your system, would you pay full price for the game?

I would hope people would wait until the price dropped to buy it.

It's a moot point anyway.

RE4 Wii was budget priced, this will be too.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Just a counter example, there are probably more.

I didn't know that Team Ninja made Dead Rising.  I could have sworn it was Capcom, who, through the past have shown on the Wii to release port-makes of games at budget pricing, a la Resident Evil 4.

You didn't say your theory was only supposed to be valid for Capcom.

I can also say: I could have sworn RE4 was a last-gen game.

What about Lost Planet for PS3? Wasn't it a full-priced game?

And I think Capcom has learned their lesson about Full-priced port-makes.

Don't do it.

I don't know why we're arguing though, you too should want the game to be budget priced, it'd be much easier to sell that way.

Apparently the 360 version had a 300 zombie limit.

I guess Capcom can only manage 100 per CPU.

Based on what? One game, that likely sold slowly due to nonexistant marketing rather than price?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Ive played it on 360. Didnt like it at all I dont wanna play a port with waggle controls.

@ lord

What is the problem? Do you not want this game to be budget priced? Would you rather pay 50 for a game that is only worth 30 on the other console it's out on?

Like seriously, who wants to pay more for a game than they have to?

It doesn't matter what I want. I'll get the game when I need it. The point is you claiming the game will not sell well at full price, to people other than us, and you have given no proof.

What would you like him to prove exactly?

That re-released games usually sell fewer units than their counterparts?

That a lower price generates more sales?

I think it's perfectly logical to say that a game that has been on the market for some time being re-released at full price (if on a different platform) is likely to sell fewer copies than it would without those two facets.

Instant buy to me! :) CAPCOM cant do wrong on the Wii!
