Forums - Nintendo - Capcom shooting for 100 zombies at once in Dead Rising Wii.

This was one of the games I wanted a 360 most for. Provided they can overcome the technical limits and the new controls work (and I am optimistic for the RE:4 controls), Dead Rising Wii will definitely be one of my top purchases. Regardless of the price.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Yeah, once you reach the underground, we'll see how 100 enemies will work out.

There had to be 500 on the 360 version, it was just jam-packed with Zombies.

Yeah, and it seemed like even more than that. I still have nightmares about those tunnels.

Sucks about how many less zombies there will be on Wii, but Capcom can make everybody forget about this by promoting the "less Otis" feature!

when has "larger text" considered an "improvement"????

I mean, i know people jokingly say that Wii is for older people, but this is getting ridiculous.

I think you're playing dumb, but... for example, I would very much welcome if GTA4 had larger text. At times, I can barely read it on my 32'' screen from a near distance.

there's a need to read text in GTAIV??? I also play mine at 32 inch Sony TV, and I never actually need to read much of anything.

no, I wasn't playing dumb, listing "Larger text" as some kind of "feature" is just sad. I said the same thing about IPhone 3G with non-recessive headphone port, and I'm saying it again about this.

It's not a dumb thing to mention at all since the text in the Xbox360 version was next to impossible to read on anything but the largest HD TV. For poor people like me (or grown-ups in the real world with bills--again--like me), we just don't have the money to drop on an HDTV--and some of these companies released way too many games with miniscule text that is little more than a small blurry section of the TV screen--especially a regular ol' analog TV.

As long as Capcom (or Team Ninja) is striving for something better than the original, it's good to hear.

BTW text is important. I could barely read anything in Ghost Recon and I am a good reader

If you played Dead Rising on an non-HDTV KoW you would understand it.

The text is illegible. I have perfect vision and I could barely make it out. So fixing the text is huge for non-HDTV owners.

100 on screen at once is okay. Not the mayhem that the 360 version was, but okay nonetheless...

This game has to be budget priced, no way anyone would pay full price for a 30 month old game.

Onscreen doesn't mean the whole area, though.

And you don't know that no one would pay full price. And it's not the exact same game. It's basically a remake.

Okay, I won't say anyone wouldn't buy the game, but most logical people would not pay 30 dollars for a game that you can find for 30 or less on the 360.

Unless they don't own a 360.

I am so buying this game.

Larger text?

Impressive!

100 stupid AI character.....dammit!

Why couldnt we have just gotten another RE spin-off???

This is good to hear, since the zombie count was the only thing that worried me. Granted, this still can't touch the 360, but it'll still provide enough targets to have plenty of fun. It's a definite purchase.

And as to the pricing debate, I think it'll be $50, since Capcom's actually putting some effort into this one, although I'll be thrilled if I'm wrong (in which case I can buy Okami too).

I think more than a 100 zombies and your arms will be will be sore from all that chopping...
