Well, Microsoft has Dead or Alive, Sony has Tekken, they both share Soul Caliber, and will get the next Street Fighter.

Soul Caliber Legends wasn't all that great and the press opinions against Castlevania Judgment have been rough. So, I think Nintendo should make this fighting series their own. It's not on the AAA status like the others may have been, but it has true potential if Nintendo worked alongside the creators of it. The last iteration was on the GameCube so they wouldn't be new to development for the Wii either.

They don't NEED to have a series like this, but I was just thinking about what if.........

Edit: And yes, I know what you really meant. But considering how fighters ain't what they used to be, I don't think having a semi-exclusive traditional fighter really means much anymore.

They already have one that beats the pants out of the rest of the genre. Ever heard of "Super Smash Brothers"?

But yeah, as far as traditional fighters go, they could do amazing things with the Bloody Roar games.

I was about to say Smash Bros... but then I remembered it's actually an Action game not a fighter.

Killer Instinct would be meh.... Mortal Combat would be meh... if they got Marvel vs Capcom 3.... then I'm sure many arcarde fans would die from the sheer excitement and instant deydration that would follow that kind of announcement.

A new Killer Instinct would be great. I miss pulling off ridiculous combos with Orchid and Jago and TJ Combo... man, those were great times.

Well that castlevania game is coming out but lets be honest about that one

 It's a game set on a 2D plane with a large cast of characters whose only goal is to beat the crap out of each other.  It's a fighting game
