And I would third that. For FPS games, the mirrored analogs on the PS3 aren't as good as staggered analogs. Both suck compared to KBM but that's another story... For racers, you're allowed much finer control over the 360 triggers than the convex PS3 triggers (which are a ridiculous idea... who thought convex is a good shape for triggers?

Were it not for the fact that the triggers are the most likely thing to break on the 360 controller and they break fairly easily, it would be clearly superior.

Really ? Never heard people crying about their broken triggers.

Spread among four friends with 360s, there have been six 360 controllers with a broken trigger or two.  Mine which I mostly use for PC games is fine though.

Hmm, I never knew the triggers were so easy to break.  What do you do with them that makes them break so much?  I don't think I've known anyone that has actually broken their triggers.

Same here. I've only seen the analog sticks or the A button give problems.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

About the only thing I know they all do is play Halo... lots and lots of Halo.

The 360 controller allows for XY axis grid vision (You cannot actually see it, but moreso feel it when holding the controller). This is perfect for hand, eye coordination.

The PS3's analog sticks are side by side, which is not good for hand eye coordination. If a person who was good on the ps3 at shooters, he'd be amazing on the 360 with the freedom the controller gives on Racers and Shooters.

The 360 controller can easily be replaced if you want to use a fighter. I bought an S-controller when I wanted to play Soul Calibur 2, back when I bought the first god forsaken Xbox. I like the PS2 Layout for the controller, it's heavier and more sturdy for fighters, while the PS3's controller is lighter and the back R2 and L2 buttons are rather annoying. The PS2 controller fit better in your hand. I find that the PS3 controller is rather redundant.

yeah, the D-pad is the single hinderance of enjoying my SCIV rental.

Can't play the game without a D-Pad.

Need a PS3.

The 360 does have a D Pad. After seeing some of your posts, i'm beginning to believe you hate the 360.

I'm getting the game on the PS3 because of pure logic, but I've never heard 360 owners complaining.

@STAGE

He only owns a 360 but looking at his posts it does seem like he has much dislike for the 360 and Microsoft while championing the PS3. I don't know if thats a testament to the 360's amazing software library or something else entirely...

lol I don't like Microsoft either, but the 360 has secured a very good library of games.
