XBOX 360 D-Pad is no good for fighting games. Why are there such a lack of joysticks available?

What will you do to play the fighting games scheduled to be released? Games like Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat vs. DC, SF II Turbo HD Remix.

The D-pad is atrocious, agreed. I prefer using analog sticks, though, so it's not a problem for me.

Use ps3 pad but it's not that much better.

Yeah, it doesn't actually have a D-Pad, it has an analog stig with a little D-Pad looking piece stuck on top. Gamestop sells a knockoff 360 controller with a wonderful D-Pad but holding that thing for too long will kill your hand.

I always play with the analog stick. I don't want to be the worlds greatest player in a fighting game I just want to have fun with the game and I'm accurate enough for accomplishing that

Oh, you mean that dinnerplate thing that is always choosing the wrong weapon in Gears.

The D-pad is single handedly holding the 360 remote from being the greatest controller of all time (Well the Wiimote is pretty close to that title also..)

I tried playing the Street Fighter II trial game with that thing...........I had to go back to Marvel vs. Capcom 2 to make sure to myself that I didn't totally suck.

Lol, true. I am playing through gears right now, and that together with the A-button doing everything (in other words, often doing what you don't want) makes for some annoying moments. Great game so far though, more variety in the missions than I expected.
