Yes and with every single game, that's why it is a neat feature for those who do not like load times.

Well, it's not that I hate load times... I think Gears plays fine but I hate it went the game stutters or pauses in the middle of battle... kinda throws me off LOL

erm that only happens between checkpoints to save your game and in areas with no enemies.

Were you thrown off guard while trying to run in a straight line lol

LOL I wasn't clear, sorry.  I meant to say it's fine in Gears but not in Mass Effect.

I just can't wait for this update. At least it's optional, which is good, and my 120 GB HDD will finally be useful for something!

Don't stop yourself from playing Mass Effect because of texture ''popping'' though! It's an amazing game.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Already beat it. Not really alot of load times though.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Its a neat feature that I enjoy using on PS3, and 360 only owners will see why these things are a positive.

The only thing is that I can't use with my 20 GB hard drive.

Being forced to do it - like PS3 owners are with many games - is not a positive. Having the option to do it with ALL games is great though.

Would that really help the texture pop in though or just load times?

Both, since both problems are due to the slow read times of the DVD... (Compared to a HDD)

By me:

wait. being forced to do something that will improve the game is bad, but having the option to do exactly the same thing, is not bad? I suppose I can see your point, but considering you will always be installing the game to the HDD (you know you will) I don;t really see what the difference is.

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

Texture pop in is still present on the PC too. Obviously, to a MUCH lesser extent. Everything is loaded in probably one or two seconds.

I saw a video on how bad it is on the 360, if it can be lessened, then I"m sure it'll gladly be accepted.

PS3: -

Option to install every disc based game? No.
Option to play every disc based game without an install? No.

360 after the update: -

Option to install every disc based game? Yes.
Option to play every disc based game without an install? Yes.

It's that simple.

but considering you will always be installing the game to the HDD

I'll definitely use the feature, but install every game I play? No chance. Sometimes I play a game for half an hour to kill time, so I wouldn't wait 10 minutes for it to install in that case.
