I am talking to some others on another message board and I need a little help with some info.

First, they claim the PSP has been beating the DS, but looking at sales here, the DS is beating the PSP, almost every week too. Can someone confirm this

Also, someone posted sales, but looking back, I can't find when this happened. The dates I did find that matched were different then these

Week of July 21st-July 27th:

* PSP - 67,452
* Nintendo DS - 56,968
* Wii - 41,024
* PlayStation 3 - 10,692
* PlayStation 2 - 9,291
* Xbox 360 - 4,941

and before that

* PSP - 74,024
* DS - 54,531
* Wii - 40,803

Week of June 30th-July 6th:

* PSP - 56,998 (559)
* Nintendo DS - 48,540 (1,085)
* Wii - 41,768 (2,757)
* PlayStation 3 - 12,458 (1,901)
* PlayStation 2 - 10,405 (1,363)
* Xbox 360 - 3,807 (969)

PSP beats DS weekly in Japan, but loses to it weekly in NA and Others.

Yeah, the DS loses in Japan but owns Worldwide.

Those look like Japan sales that you have posted. Worldwide the DS is still cleaning up.

ds owns the psp worldwide last week the psp sold: 218,897 units and the ds sold: 529,838. so the psp is no where near the ds worldwide

For the past several months, the PSP has sold more per week in Japan than the DS. Monster Hunter Portable 2, new colors and a price cut along with the DS hitting a saturation point (1 in 5 Japanese people own a DS now) has given the PSP some momentum this year.

Globally, it's not even close as the DS continues to outsell the PSP by more than 2 to 1.
