Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How hard is Zelda II: The Adventure of Link?

I have 500 Wii points left and am torn between Mario or Zelda II.  I just finished TP wanna play some more Zelda but Ive heard the Zelda II is really hard.

So is it really that difficult or will I have some fun with it? Im not into 8-bit games that I havent already played so I know mario is a much safer choice that I know I'll enjoy. But its Zelda so Im willing to take a chance.

So will I have fun with it or get frustrated?

Your opinoins will eventually choose what I buy.

Edit - A frustrating hard game is NOT SATISFYING in my opinion. If you have fun being pissed off through out the game and find satisfaction when you beat it dont reccommend.

Without a strategy guide...you won't beat it.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I didnt know Zelda 2 is on VC

Zelda 2 is hard, but satsifing, a very good game. Definalty the black sheep, but get it u wont be dissapointed.

I really enjoy Zelda II - owned this on the NES, and it was one of my favourites.

Took me a solid week to beat it the first time (years ago) - then I managed to beat it without dying (or having to continue) (i.e. - losing lives, but never losing them all).

Its a lot harder than it seems, and has a lot of skill in the combat.

May I suggest trying it out with an emulator? Not telling you where to find it though. And I mean for evaluation purposes.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Both great games. I'm sure you'll be happy with either one.

I wouldn've chosen Zelda over Mario though. :P Just me.

Waste.

I would have gone with Zelda II.

Emulators are free on the internet. You don't have to buy them. They exist for backing up games you already own. They are free.

That said. DO NOT pirate games. It ruins the industry. That's Zenfoldor's warning lable, lol.

Lol I know all about that. Im a pirate myself.:P
