Probably 6, though 4 is more special to me on a personal level.

This is from best to worst imo. FFVI, FFIV,FFIX,FFX, FFI,FFVII,FFVIII,FFXII,FFIII,FFII,FFV. So FFVI would be my answer.

For me it is Final Fantasy X as my favourite, the first one i played properly and i just really really enjoyed the story and still do have racked up more than 100 hours of playtime on save alone with 30 hours on another 3 different saves.

Final Fantasy VI got on my nerves for a bit because i couldn't figure what to do but after that it is definitely my joint favourite.

With FFVII and FFIII (DS) following close behind.
