Gears of war 2 does not need hyping, the job was done when Gears of war 1 came out

Killzone 1 was rubbish........ should i feel any diffrent about part 2 just cos the graphics are better?

the better character design (with more personality lol) of gears gives ppl illusion that it is way better than kz2. believe me

How many trolling fanboys have joined VGchartz lately. Cant believe it. Anyways go check out the Far Cry 2 video I posted. It's on the 360 as the PS3 version wasnt at GDC08, but it beats both KZ2 and Gears 2 in visuals by some way.

Far cry is not even in the same league as KZ2, the game looks okay, all they did is jack the shit out of the contrast.

Your aware it's a cam vid arent you? It will look 2-3 times better again in direct feed.

From those screenshots, gears looks better, the details on gears are incredeble, just look marcus vs the killzone guy and you can see very easy a difference, but in vids of booth games looks almost the same. I stil thinking than gears looks better, but, killzone will be relase 3 or 4 months after gears, so, the graphics could be better at the end.

 

 

With those screens, also, considering "horde mode," scale of the battles, and the destructable environments all running at a smooth clip....I gotta go with IGN here and say Gears 2. It's not just about screenshots. It's functional graphics.

Both games have good graphics, though. I think the existance of Gears 2 pretty much dispells the "PS3 has better graphics, secretly" thing, though. It definitely looks better than MGS4 or Uncharted.

Scale of the battle goes to Killzone 2, destructable enviroments goes to Killzone2,  Gears2 runs below 30fps, and has slowdown which is clear in the videos.  Funcitional Graphics is what Killzone 2 is.  Gears2 is nothing but textures.

well i think i will have to get some in-game screens not these cut scenes, and people chatting about the Gears 2 textures, meh. all i have to say in when you watch the vids and the game is in motion it looks really blurry and you cannot say it dont.

i was showing my Mum a vid for gears 2 the first game-play video they showed and she said it was making her eyes go funny because it was high res textures at the front of the screen then goes really blurry straight away.

she said sorry i cant watch that. it hurt my eyes to watch aswell.
